Imperial County's Health & Benefits Fair for Employees and Retirees

The County of Imperial 2027 Open Enrollment period begins October 19, 2026 and will continue through November 2, 2026. Enrollment changes must be submitted by November 2, 2026 at 5pm and will become effective on January 1, 2027.

• Enroll Online during the open enrollment period via the HR Self-Service Enrollment Portal serviced by Benefit Solver: www.benefitsolver.com

• If you do not have Open Enrollment changes, your current benefit elections will rollover to the 2027 plan year, with the exceptions of Flexible Spending and Dependent Care Accounts.

• Flexible Spending Health and Dependent Care Accounts- You must re-enroll for the Flexible Spending Accounts each year during Open Enrollment; these benefits do not carry over automatically. For 2027, the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) maximum contribution is $3,400. This amount is subject to change based on IRS updates.

• Adding a Dependent: the Open Enrollment period is the opportunity to add/remove eligible dependents to your healthcare plans. If you are adding a dependent, you MUST provide proof of dependent eligibility to the Human Resources office within three (3) business days of completing your online enrollment. Proof of dependent eligibility includes birth certificates and/or marriage license. Without proof of dependent eligibility, your dependents will not be enrolled.

• Open Enrollment Period ends November 2, 2026 at 5pm, after this date you will no longer be allowed to make changes for 2027 plan year, unless you experience a Qualifying Event (i.e., marriage, divorce, birth, adoption, loss of previous coverage, etc.). Should you have a qualifying event, you have thirty-one (31) days from the qualified event date to make changes to your benefits.
