Professional Development

Our office has created a Career Path Guide as a resource for County employees. Our goal is prepare our current workforce for the challenges of the competitive recruitment process.

  • Important tools in completing the employment application.
  •  Understanding the interview process and how to prepare.
  • Planning the interview and how to dress for success.

As a resource, we collaborated with the Workforce & Economic Development office and it’s America’s Job Centers of California (AJCC)” to provide employees with useful tools. These tools include assistance with completing employment applications, updating resumes, and mock interviews.

Employees will be allowed to use their monthly wellness hour to visit these job centers (supervisory approval). There are three (3) job centers, which includes two satellite centers. The services provided by AJCC are free to all county employees with individual appointments now available at the following centers:

Satellite sites are closed right now due to COVID, but offices in Brawley, El Centro, and Calexico are open.
